The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs works throughout the year to ensure that consumer protection laws are followed and consumers are treated fairly in the marketplace. During Safe Summer 2012, you’ll see our investigators making their rounds and performing inspections.
The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and Ocean County Office of Consumer Affairs are working together to ensure the Jersey Shore remains a safe, fun, family-friendly summer destination.
Our regular Safe Summer 2012 inspections include:
- Checking that all retailers meet Consumer Fraud Act requirements for
honesty in advertising and pricing.
- Making sure games of chance give every player a fair chance to win.
- Providing valuable information to help consumers protect themselves against fraud and abuse.
