Consumer Alert
Assistance for Obtaining Prescription Medicines
The New Jersey Board of Pharmacy, which licenses and regulates pharmacies doing business in the state, has taken action to assist consumers who may be having difficulties in obtaining their prescription medicines following Hurricane Sandy.
If a consumer is unable to contact his/her regular pharmacist, the consumer should contact another nearby pharmacy. The Board of Pharmacy has alerted all pharmacies and provided guidance on how to assist consumers who are in need of their medicines.
In order to assist pharmacies, consumers should locate their most recent medicine bottle, with the prescription label attached, if possible.
The Board of Pharmacy may be contacted at 973-504-6450 if further assistance is required.
