2. ADMINISTRATION OF
RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS

Attached is a letter from Steven Wozniak, Chief Nuclear/PET Technologist, Robert Wood Johnson requesting that the Board include Lexiscan (regadenoson), a new product for use in Nuclear Medicine Pharmologic Stress Testing, as an approved agent for administration by Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

Also attached is a request from Steven Gross, MD, Chairman, Department of Radiology, Somerset Medical Center, requesting that the Board consider adding filtered Technetium 99M sulfur colloid for intra dermal injection by nuclear medicine technologists.

The Executive Committee recommends that Lexiscan be included and that the matter be referred to a regulatory analyst in the Division of Consumer Affairs to prepare the amendment to N.J.A.C. 13:35-6.20(m).

The Executive Committee also recommended that the Administrative Office write to Dr. Gross and request additional information on his request.

3. BOARD MINUTES

Attached is a Memo from DAG Jeri L. Warhaftig seeking guidance on the method to make Board minutes in the Zahl Temporary Suspension Action more complete. The reference can be found in the February8, 2006 Minutes at page three.

The Executive Committee believed that an appropriate solution may be to drop a footnote which might read: This argument was made by Respondent’s counsel, however, the Board subsequently learned that all was resolved without any action by either side. This was merely a summary of the Respondent’s position which was not sustained by the proofs.
