SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF ELECTRICAL
CONTRACTORS
(PUBLIC SESSION) - - - SEPTEMBER 16, 2009 The Board Minutes of September 16, 2009, have not been formally approved and are subject to change or modification by the Public Body at its next meeting of October 7, 2009, or soon thereafter as it may be considered.
Meeting of September 16, 2009, was called to order at 9:00 A.M.
Mr. Joseph P. Schooley, Chairman Mr. Joseph F. Cantalupo and Mr. Mitchell R. Malec were absent. Marian Fiore, Sr. Management Assistant, was present from 9:00 A.M. until the close of the meeting. Kathleen Moran, Administrative Assistant, III, was present from 9:00 A.M. until the close of the meeting. Joseph Donofrio, Deputy Attorney General, Division of Law, was present from 9:00 A.M. until the close of the meeting. ******************** The Board saluted the Flag. ******************** Mr. Schooley requested a moment of silence for the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. ******************** The Board reviewed responses received to the POD’s for continuing education audit. The sub-committee reviewed an application for Continuing Education Course/Seminar Approval received from Eugene Mini, New Jersey Independent Electrical Contractors. Motion made by Mr. Constantinos Papademas and seconded by Mr. Richard T. Aicher, Jr., and unanimously passed, to approve thirty-nine (39) courses and instructor(s). The courses entitled “The Instructor’s Role”, “Developing an Effective Lesson Plan Using the IEC Curriculum”, “Effective and Efficient Board Meetings”, and “Teaching-A Hands on Approach” are denied as they are not specific to electrical contractors. ******************** In the matter of James M. Inman, Jr., License #12536, that upon receipt of the proper paperwork, the issuance of a business permit be granted to Nini Sebastiano, Inc., Business Permit #12536. ******************** The Board reviewed applications for the written examination to be administered by Thomson Prometric. ******************** Motion made by Mr. Richard T. Aicher, Jr. and seconded by Mr. James H. Flaherty, and unanimously passed, that the Board go into Executive Closed Session to consider and to review consumer complaints, investigative reports and other information received pursuant to the Board’s investigative authority in order to determine whether violations of the law, including Board regulations have occurred. The results of the deliberations will be made known when and if the Board determines to initiate disciplinary action or other law enforcement action. Meeting adjourned at 2:00 P.M.
A Business Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at 9:00 A.M.
