A New Jersey pharmacist license is a biennial license; it must be renewed every two (2) years.

The current pharmacist biennial license renewal fee is $140.00

There is NO fee for the renewal of your Immunization Approval.

  4. How do I renew my Immunization Approval?

You must renew this registration separately online, through the MyLicense website. Click on the box for ?"Immunization Approval"? and complete/answer the ensuing questions. You may renew your immunization approval at the same time you renew your Pharmacist license

  5. Is there a fee for renewal of my Collaborative Practice Approval?

There is NO fee for the renewal of your Collaborative Practice Approval.

  6. How do I renew my Collaborative Practice Approval?

Those pharmacists who have received pre-approval to participate in Collaborative Practice agreements will receive a separate letter from the Board containing instructions on how to renew this authorization.

  7. When will renewal notices be sent to each Pharmacist?

The State will begin to mail notices about sixty (60) days prior to the license renewal date for each Pharmacist and each Immunizing Pharmacist. The current renewal date is April 30, 2015.

  8. How many Continuing Education (CE) credits do Pharmacists need to renew their license?

A total of thirty (30) Continuing Education (CE) credits must be completed between May 1, 2013 and April 20, 2015.  As a part of your required 30 CE credits, three (3) CE credits must be in pharmacy law and ten (10) CE credits must be live or didactic instruction.

    Immunization CE credits
If a pharmacist is also approved to perform immunizations, two (2) of your thirty (30) CE credits must be related to immunization training.

    Collaborative Practice Agreements CE credits
A pharmacist granted authorization to engage in collaborative drug therapy management shall complete a minimum of 10 credits of continuing education every biennial renewal period in each disease(s) or condition(s) covered by the collaborative practice agreement(s) to which he or she is a party, consistent with the requirements of N.J.A.C. 13:39-3A. However, to the extent that a pharmacist may enter into collaborative practice agreements to treat patients with co-existing, interrelated conditions or diseases, a pharmacist need only complete a total of 10 credits in the interrelated conditions or diseases.

  9. What is the time frame for when completed Continuing Education (CE) credits will be accepted?

Continuing Education (CE) credits completed between, May 1, 2013 thru April 30, 2015, will be accepted as part of your biennial Pharmacy license renewal requirements.

  10. May I carry over Continuing Education (CE) credits from a previous renewal period?

You may carry over maximum of ten (10) Continuing Education (CE) credits to be counted toward your 2015 renewal if the following conditions are met:

The CE credits were earned during the last six (6) months of the 2013 biennial renewal period (November 1, 2012 through April 30, 2013), AND the CE credits were NOT previously reported to the Board.

  11. Do I have to register for a NABP e-Profile ID in order for my Continuing Education (CE) credits to be accepted by the Board?

At this time, the New Jersey Board is NOT requiring pharmacists to register for a NABP e-Profile ID; it is currently voluntary. However, many CPE providers accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) have already transitioned their systems to transmit data relating to completion of CE courses to NABP. Because they are now requiring licensees to submit their NABP e-Profile ID in order to obtain CPE credit, we are encouraging licensees to obtain an e-Profile ID with NABP.
